“The disappointment and the moral contempt that power structure within Greek society caused in certain social classes were depicted in a satire in verse under the title Rossanglogallos. […] The militancy of social protest, as well as radical political concerns expressed by the vision of throwing off the ottoman yoke, explain why the satire remained unpublished and the author anonymous. Its high ideological content suggests that its author belong to the politically progressive social groups of that time. He was likely connected to the circles of Rigas and Psalidas. […] The text itself presents empirical interest as it offers a representative outline of Greek social structure at the time, describing at the same time the major social and economic groups and political orientations, as well as interactions between them and the foreign political forces in eastern Mediterranean, during the ottoman decline in the dusk of the eighteenth century.” (pp. 338 - 339)
